Experimental Study on CO2 Corrosion and Scaling Monitoring in Gas Wells

气井井筒CO2腐蚀及结垢监测实验研究

Abstract:

In order to accurately evaluate the service performance of wellbore string materials in gas production and injection wells, and explore the failure mechanism of corrosion and scaling, taking an ancient natural gas production well in Yulin gas field as an example, monitoring experiments such as wellbore fluid analysis, tubing MIT test, downhole coupon weight loss corrosion test, SEM, EDS, XRD, 3 D and other related characterization tests were carried out. The results show that the electrolyte wellbore fluid formed by the dissolution of CO2 in the condensate water with low salinity in ancient natural gas is attached to the surface of N80 carbon steel in the form of water film. Under the condition of high temperature and high pressure, hydrogen depolarization electrochemical corrosion reaction is the main reaction without obvious scaling phenomenon. The corrosion products are mainly FeCO3 crystal. The corrosion products at 1500m are denser, which can inhibit uniform corrosion. However, the maximum depth of local corrosion pit is more than 113μm, which is consistent with the result of severe local corrosion in some well sections tested by MIT. The increase of daily water production at the development late stage will increase the tendency of pipe string corrosion perforation. The experimental results obtained from the application of various corrosion monitoring technologies can provide technical support and theoretical basis for the formulation of anti-corrosion and anti scaling measures for the wellbore string of gas wells.

摘要: 为了准确评估采气井、注气井井筒内服役管柱材质的安全性能,探究其腐蚀结垢失效机理,以榆林气田某上古天然气井为例,依次开展了井筒流体分析、油管MIT测试、井下挂片失重腐蚀评价及SEM、EDS、XRD、3D相关表征测试等监测实验。结果表明,上古天然气中伴生的CO2溶解于低矿化度凝析水中所形成的电解质井筒流体,以水膜形式附着于N80碳钢表面,在高温高压条件下以氢去极化电化学腐蚀反应为主,无明显结垢现象。腐蚀产物均以 FeCO3晶体为主,其中1 500 m位置腐蚀产物更致密,对均匀腐蚀有抑制作用,但局部最大坑蚀深度超过100 μm,与 MIT测试部分井段局部腐蚀严重结果一致,开发后期随日产水量升高会加剧管柱腐蚀穿孔倾向。多种腐蚀监测技术配套运用获取的实验结果能为气井井筒管柱防腐、防垢措施制定提供技术支持和理论依据。
